Incorporation History
Sanchoon Builders Pte Ltd was established in May 1991 by the late Mr. Michael Chew. The Company began as a local contractor with paid-up capital of $15,000 and started undertaking projects for Singapore government-linked bodies such as the Public Works Department (PWD), National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) as a G1 contractor, the entry-level grading accorded by the Building & Construction Authority (BCA), Singapore. The first project undertaken by us was the construction of retaining wall behind Block 15 of NTU campus, Singapore in 1991 at $100,000.
Under the leadership of Mr. Chew, the Company was accorded BCA A1 grading under the category of general building (CW1) which allows the Company to tender for public construction projects of unlimited value and with no restrictions for private sector construction projects.
Over the years, the Company’s management and its dedicated staff have progressed steadily and expanded its capabilities to undertake even more complex projects and D&B (Design & Build) contracts that are also technically challenging.
Today, the Company remains committed to delivering winning proposition to all its clients and partners in ever challenging landscape and its client-centric mission of delivering projects “From Concepts to Realisation”.
